“Just Another Manic Monday…”

I am back on track here as promised!

I would like to say I am a SUPERWOMAN, but my forays into the world of SUPERHERO’S usually end up more like Lucy’s!! But HEY, I get the job done, EVENTUALLY and provide ENTERTAINMENT along the way! Last week was CRAZY and INSANE, but I got 25 Itty Bitty Brittney Travel Bags DONE! They are AVAILABLE in the By Your Side Etsy Shop, so GO and take a LOOK!

I have become “ONE” with my local Post Office! I have had SO many orders to ship, it’s been CRAZY!  The Postal workers at Fairview are SO COOL and NICE, I ABSOLUTELY dread going anywhere else! The BEST part is that not too may people know about it, so there are usually NO lines! YAY!

John did the lights outside yesterday in the FREEZING cold, so now it’s MY turn to pull out ALL of the DECORATIONS and get into the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!! I REMEMBER when the girls LOVED to HELP, now they just COMPLAIN that the decoration are not up yet. OH WELL, I’ll just put some ELVIS CHRISTMAS TUNES on and go get BUSY!

Where Have I Been??

Locked away in my sewing room…

My incredibly MESSY and CONFUSING sewing room! REALLY there is a system in use here that makes PERFECT sense in my mind! What that says about me, I am not sure, BUT I can tell you my MOM is going to want to DIE when she sees these pictures!!

Fabulous Friday!

Five things that made my week FABULOUS…

~ Thanksgiving! ~

What a GREAT holiday when you really think about it! A day to pause an think about what you are thankful for…

I am thankful for my family… my parents, my in-laws, my baby brother and his family, my husband, my girls and all of my wonderful friends.

I am also thankful for all of the men and women that choose to serve our country so that I can have this wonderful life!

~ The Genius! ~

aka – John…The “Genius” is a name John has given himself when it comes to his cooking! SShhh… don’t tell him, but I can’t deny it any longer, he is the “Genius!” John was up at 4am getting the turkey ready and making the pies, what a guy! He really wanted Kate to get up with him so he could teach her, but her response was, “Why? I am going to do what mom did and marry a chef!” HAHA! It was all so YUMMY!

~ Mashed Potatoes & Gravy! ~

My only contribution…perhaps I have mastered mashed potatoes and gravy, because I could live on them! MMM, MMM GOOD! Even John will admit that I make some ROCKIN’ mashed potatoes, and my gravy – well it’s pure perfection! HAHA! Gravy is the one and only thing I can think of that John cannot make! I must admit though that my “gravy knowledge” came to me from my Grandma Mallory, and that’s the reason it’s PURE PERFECTION!

~ Punkin’ Pie! ~

Who doesn’t like punkin’ pie??John also made a dutch apple pie and a mincemeat pie, but punkin’ RULES! Do you see the heart on the mincemeat pie?? I thought John was being sweet with his little decoration, but NOOO… I was looking at it wrong! It’s a “G” for GENIUS!! Now I think he is getting a little full of himself!

~ My Girls! ~

They have a SPECIAL bond, and I LOVE watching them together…Even with 12 years between them they are close. Brittney always makes time for Kate, and Kate looks up to her big sissy. Brittney was cracking us all up, playing Wii and getting WAY too in to the game! She almost conked Kate on the head and Kate was having a hard time playing because she was laughing at Britt!

OK, just a really quick post…

I am officially SO far behind that it isn’t even funny! After spending my weekend in a drug induced HAZE, I think I am back to the land of the LIVING!!

One word of ADVICE to all – DO NOT under any circumstances EVER hurt your back! I seriously had no CLUE of the PAIN involved! So, moving on to some GOOD news! Alison of From Rags to Bags ordered the above Itty Bitty Brittney Travel Bag this morning, what a LOVELY way to start the day! THANK YOU Alison!  She shall be making her way across the pond soon!
